So it turns out that just buying a new Xmas album on iTunes doesn't make it magically appear on your iPod- you have to click the "Sync" button. *facepalm*  So I guess tomorrow I will have the Verve Remix Christmas album- w00t!

Speaking of iTunes, does anyone else find it annoying that you can't download stuff from other countries? Like, say, VV Brown's "Traveling Like the Light" featuring "Shark in the Water"- which is only available in the acoustic version in the U.S.?

Finally listened to "Fireflies" by Owl City- OUT, DAMN EARWORM! It's the "Here in Your Arms" of the fall. Autumn, I mean. Ugh.

Loving "Nation", but I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be casting it in my head (Taylor Lautner as Mau? Um, NO.).

Anyone else see SNL with Taylor Lautner? I remembered at the last minute he was hosting and tuned in- not a complete waste of time, strangely enough. He seemed at ease in his own skin and willing to go all out for a laugh, so that was cool. And unlike a bunch of recent hosts I think he actually memorized his lines so there was less of that awkward staring at the teleprompter. (NOTE: all the clips are from Hulu and NBC because YouTube embedding was disabled.)

In his opening monologue they did (predictably) yet another take on the Swift/West thing (I watched the VMAs twice and not once did I notice him standing onstage behind Swift, did you?) and Lautner showed off his mad martial arts skills:



This is an outstandingly awkward jab at "Glee", yet somehow fun to watch:



Team Edward and Team Jacob goes way off the rails (why is it backward? NO CLUE.). "Those abs are CGI and if they aren't the guy deserves an Oscar!":



Wouldn't it be great if he stayed unaffected and all adorable and easygoing and had a nice long and successful career and didn't flame out horribly in his mid-20's? One can always hope.
